yes i would want to be told, and yes i would believe them, because i would know that they had my best interest at heart. often times the spouse who is cheated on is last to know because people just won't get involved, and don't want to cause problems and be the cause of a divorce. but it is always better to know what your up against so u can make a plan and be prepared.

Your question isn't clear. Cheating is only cheating if the relationship is marriage, or at least an engagement. Only married or engaged couples have entered into a truly committed relationship, one that requires both members to be faithful. A couple "playing house", or or "shacking up" isn't in such a relationship. So, IF you are married, then and only then can you cheated on. A dating couple where one sees other people is merely "playing around", and may well be dishonest, but they aren't cheating. But, yes, IF I was being cheated on, I'd want to be told. As to IF I'd believe, that would depend on if I found reason to believe- but I'd certainly look to find the truth.

It happened to me. And so many knew (I didn't) but not one person had the courage to tell me. I really wish they had. When I found out, I felt like the whole world was laughing at me, and I wasn't let in on the joke. By the way, he would never have owned up, until there was incontrovertible proof. The one person who did tell me in the end, was his mistress.

Hell yes tell them. Even if they are mad at you for a time period you and that person will know in the end you are a true friend!

I'd only want to know if they had solid proof and then they'd need to back off and let me deal with it my way and be supportive of the decision I made.

my friends/family had better tell me. I'd be more hurt by my family not telling me than i would be about the spouse cheating on me. family is blood....husbands/wives are not.

Yes of course. But I see how some people choose not to believe because they are so "in love." At least its good to get it in their heads.
