The cons:
there would be a heck of a lot more kids in this world... the babies would need to be born waaaaaay less developed, like a baby kangaroo is... and so we would have more infant deaths.
It takes time to become attached, and get prepared mentally, physically, emotionally, financially.... one month isn't long enough. There would be more abandonment, more people that aren't financially capable of supporting a newborn.
Nipples would have to drastically change... no way would we be able to breastfeed that fragile of a baby with what we got now.
The pros? ummmmm....
yeah, I got nothing there.
I like having 9 months. It's less than a year, but long enough that by the time the bun is ready to pop out, the oven is tired of being hot. ;)
