best wishes.

that lazy young man
he did you wrong in ways
so politically correct

he made you feel guilty
for knowing him.

he looked into your eyes
and mumbled evasive lies –

he refused to share with you
the secrets he promised others
he would not repeat.

despite his commitment
to tell you everything,
he lied by omission.

he’s good at keeping secrets,
but so are you –
that’s why you acknowledge him.

at least you can thank him
for the interesting music
and good food

I hope the sun is out tomorrow
you could use some cheering up
and nothing would be better for you
than a warm day away from reality.

...yes, I share a hunger to learn more. You know, the do's and don'ts of writing. I thought your words were imaginative and described an almost visual setting. It was more like a narrative, however. Thank you for sharing !

Love the poetry, thanks!!!!!

Oh, that lazy young man,
he wondered why people
couldn't be more cheerful,
hopeful,
assertive, not aggressive,
optimistic, not pessimistic,
honest and happy.

He mispent his lazy life
figuring out why,
and when he figured it out
he said, "Oh"

He found others,
like himself
with whom he could
be happy with.
He set out
to help save the world.

But alas,
the world ended
in 2012.
Which puzzled him immensely.

For he had all the answers.
surely among the billions,
Others like himself
would have the answers too.

and lead the world
to the year 3012.

Oh...

Yes I am hungry for poetry.

(Suggestion) Read Mary Kinzie "A Poet's Guide To Poetry"

For the piece above, in my opinion, lacks in the form and foundation of the basic fundamentals of the art and craft of real poetry.

"Learn that which you wish to write before you write and become that of a fool."

this may be a rant, or perhaps a sermon, or perhaps a diary entry - but it is most likely a whinge.

i wonder what made you mistake it for a poem.
