Sure, you can. BUT it also depends on the motherboard. If that P4 is on a proprietary motherboard, there might not be any overclocking options. Most retail motherboards have various degree of overclocking tweaks. Enthusiast boards from ASUS, Abit, Gigabyte, DFI, etc. usually have the full range of tweaking options.

it depends. if it is from a company such as dell or hp then the answer is no. But if u built it yourself then it verywell could be. go into your bios. look for a jumperfree setting and go in and change the values to be SLIGHTLY higher. Dont go too high or u will screw up your Cpu. also dont expect too much more proformance because p4s are not the greatest Overclocking cpu's.

most definatley, the only thing in your way is heat. i got my p4 w/ht running from 3.0GHz to 4.25Ghz, i changed it bck because it was heating up my entire system(small case) and i had my cousin program my pc to go into higher threads if needed until a certain temp stop the cpu. make sure you have no fresh artic silver, and a good cpu cooler. oh yeah, when overclocking, do it little by little, so if your system crashes, you can change it back and hopefully no damage is done. have fun.

Im pretty sure any proc is over clock-able. Some just have different ways of doing it, but, you can still do it. Just make sure you have proper cooling for it and don't overdue it.

Here is a guide for you, hope it helps.
