I know its early but if they stay healthy they have a shot this year I think.

San Antonio is still the team to beat... and until McGrady can show he can win in the post season, the Rockets are not a threat to the likes of the Spurs, Mavericks, or Suns.

I don't think so. T-Mac and Yao have to show up in the post season.
Yes, they beat the Spurs tonight, but you would think by the stat sheet that they should have won by more than 8 points. They out rebounded them 55-28 and they had 25 assists. If the Spurs had just made free throws (their Achilles heel), they would have won the game.
The Rockets have to learn to go for the jugular when they have their opponents backs against the wall. The Mavs and the Spurs know they can compete, but beat them in a 7 game playoff series, I don't think so.
Honestly, the two teams to beat are the Spurs and the Mavs.

No the Spurs are. The regular season is irrelevant, a 7 game series shows which team is better, it's all about the postseason. So, maybe a team can take 3 of 4 games against the Spurs during the season when the games are played months apart, but the Spurs can't be beaten in a playoff series.

No they are title contenders but I think the Phoenix Suns are the team to beat this year they have held 3 of 4 of there opponents under 100pts 2 of them without Amare Stoudemire the Suns have underrated defense the Phoenix Suns are better defensively and they will win the 2008 NBA Championship this year

yes they are only if t-mac can stay healthy hes the heart of the team they got everything they need a good defender in battier to shut down the oppossing superstars like kobe, carter , pierce and he could drain 3's ! they got big man yao !whos getting better. I think theyll finish 2nd overall in the west behind the suns and their bench is amazing ! with head , francis and mike james.

of course they are,They are 4-1, they beat the spurs last night...thay have so much depth,and dont have to rely on yao and t-mac every night to carry them,there this years champs!!
