Americas health care system is so great because of the money that Dr's make. If the government was to control health care then the Dr's would not make as much money leading to ignorant health care professionals.

Pro: no matter what state you find yourself job and money wise your safe in knowing that you can always stay healthy. The tax hike is actually less then what most people pay monthly for health care now. If it's anything like other countries health care the service will be just as fast. With the government running health care the people (that's you) can actually force the government to change the system if it's run against your wishes. If health care is privately run and you don't agree with how they run things, tough sh*t. con: paranoid conspiracy theorists will go mad thinking the government is out to get them.

The con is that with government control there are greater wait times.

With private health care those who can afford it can get the treatment they need, and the line for treatment gets shorter.

But then the quality of care for those who can't pay for it isn't so good.

Name one government program where less than 50% was spent on administration

Look to Britain - 1/3 of the people have no local dentist

Look to Canada - 55% income taxes and they still have to pay $100 a month
and some procedures are not covered and require additional
payment

then when you need a serious operation - your name goes
on the list and you may get called in 3 months - if you live that long

and look to the people in Canada who come to the US for
treatment

All I can think of is cons. Being told what doctor I have to use, even if he isn't the best. Being told that I can't have tests that my doctor wants me to have because all of "those" tests that are allowed for this year have already been done. Maybe next year if you are still here!!! My taxes going up so high that I can't afford to live and support my family!!!!

Going by the way they are handling most everything else, I wouldn't like to think of them in charge of HealthCare. If there was a problem-who would someone go to?

With all the illegal aliens and hypochondriac baby boomers, you may get an appointment 2 years after you needed one.
