What are your strengths? What are your Passions? What do you love to do? The answers to these kinds of questions should guide you.
And, if you really don't know your strengths, passions, etc. don't feel pressured to make a decision now. Take a variety of courses until you find the area that really excites you. Then pursue that subject.
Best wishes and good luck.

Well, ok phlebotomist and surgeon is out--that still leaves quite a lot to choose from!
Have you taken any aptitude tests or done any other research on different career fields? A counselor at the community college may be able to help you by administering this type of test to see what fields your skills match up best with, as well as give you tips on what jobs and careers are available in your region & what major they require.
Big fields these days are IT (computers), and marketing/business. Also accounting if you are good with numbers. I think that there will also be increased demand for people with degrees in environmental science or conservation because of concerns related to global warming and water availability. There is supposed to be a teacher shortage too especially in secondary ed math and science, but teaching is not the best paying career out there. The main benefit to teaching is being able to be off most of the time your kids are.
Good luck!

It depends what you like.
You shouldn't pick a major that you wouldn't mind doing all your life. For example, lets say you really believe that criminals should be punished for doing things that illegal, maybe be a lawyer but on the other hand if you would not want to be a lawyer all your life, I wouldn't reconmend it. Remember, some people wander around all their lives undeciding what career they want to go through. As long as your interested in that subject and can have fun with it, it doesnt really matter what you choose. Right now, being a doctor is probably out of the question but an ear doctor doesnt have to give you shots but just tests on your hearing such as they do in Standford hospital.
GOOD LUCK! :D
