Just out of curiousity, I was wondering if there were any women with similar experiences to share with me, as I'm a little freaked out right now.

I'm way too early to be going into labor. Doc said to take it easy for now, and he'll give me some kind of meds, if necessary, but of course, I can't help but stress a little bit.

My Stats:
32 weeks pregnant, dilated to 1.5 cm, 20% effaced, contractions (which I don't feel, but were in the 80s on the monitor - every 12 minutes) baby is still breech, and lost my mucus plug at about 18 weeks or so. I have a secondary c-section scheduled for December 27th.

With my first baby, I lost my mucus plug at 34 weeks, and was dilated at 3cm for two weeks before going into active labor at 36 weeks and 6 days, and had to have an emergency c-section because my daughter couldn't pass through my pelvis - she weighed a whooping 8lbs 9oz at that gestational age!

Any input/advice is appreciated. Thank you.

The doc knows about the mucus plug. He knows about everything, of course, as I call him umpteen times a week over this pregnancy.

It really has been a difficult one... filled w/ non-stop vomiting, among other things.

Unless something drastic happens, I supposedly won't go into "active" labor for at least two weeks - they checked my vaginal fluid for some kind of protein... I forget the name of the test.

I'm not of full-fledged bed rest, but on "light duty".

I had a similar experience. I carried my daughter to full term, was in labor for 11 hours, and then had an emergency section b/c of cephlo-pelvic distocia (same thing you had). I lost my plug much earlier with my second pregnancy, and started to dilate around 33 weeks. I carried him find (even with some pretty good contractions) until my scheduled c section at 37 weeks. If you lost your plug at 18 weeks, you should really talk to your doc. That's a bit early. God Bless.

You need to be on total bed rest I think. Take it easy, tell hubby and family to wait on you hand and foot and get someone over to help with the other child and things like basic housework and cooking.

32 weeks is too early to be having this baby and you need to get your feet off the floor and your butt firmly planted on the couch or in bed!! If you can do this you should be fine and bubs will wait a little longer before making his/her appearance! If its impossible to get total rest, take as many rest breaks as possible and tell hubby he has to help to with all the 'heavy' stuff like washing, cooking and vacuming for the next few weeks if he wants to avoid 7 round trips a week to the NICU!

Take it easy, go to the library and get some juicy romance novels and raid the video store for some movies and then plant that butt sister!!

Best of luck, I'm sure it will all work out if you take it easy.
