e.g. When kids play video games, they learn every character's(s') name, powers, etc. But when kids go to school they get bored and they want to have fun and they don't learn well. is it true or false?

PEOPLE learn best when they are inspired. Kids are inspired when their teachers are enthusiastic, direct, and clear in their presentations.

People do learn easier when the absorb information in the course of playing. But it's difficult to play games in the classroom with so many students at different levels.

I teach only adults and I keep my classroom light and use humour in my lectures and powerpoints and I personally feel that people do learn more in a relaxed atmosphere. Heck I still remember Nestles' tag line from when I was a kid so repetition and relaxation helps things sink in.

false.

You cannot compare school to a video game.

how can you assure the type, quality and importance of information and skills to be learned. fun makes no distinction.

a more apt comparison is learning sports. you want to learn it well? or you just want to have fun?

most of my classes are fun, so i learn in them, but in the classes that are boring, i tend to drift off and daydream and draw, i still hear the stuff being said, but i don't learn as strongly in the fun classes.
