There is nothing online for an inexperienced, untrained person except scams. Stay off the internet.

You become an actor by being in all the plays you can, by taking acting classes and getting your parents to help you.

You wanna be an actor or a star.

If you wanna be a star don't quit your day job.

If you wanna be an actor get a sleeping bag and live at a back street theater for no play, sweep their floors, show people to their seats, audition for every part in every play and continue to sleep on the stage in your sleeping back and sweep the floors. Eventually if you has a little talent you'll become an actor and make $100 a week.

95% of SAG make less than $5,000 a year.

90% of SAG is unemployed 11 months out of the year.

80% of SAG makes their living telemarketing or waiting tables.

It costs $2,000 to join SAG and $500 a year to stay in the union.

There are many ways to become an actor but the best advice is to get yourself involved in as many acting classes as possible. Seek training that is vocational. Go to the theatre a lot - you can learn so much by observing other actors. It also pays to join a very good amateur company to build the credits up on your CV.

Whilst experience is very important, companies and professional drama schools also require you to have a bit of life experience. An actors job is to create drawing on personal experiences. Read up on Stanislavski.

Acting is an increasingly competitive job so it's also wise to brush up on other talents like any special skills eg horse riding etc. Start to learn an instrument.

Make yourself as all round as possible.
