Well, I love weather, so I don't ever think of it as BAD (unless it ruins my plans for a picnic or something!) -- but I've been in some WILD weather.

One day in Ohio it started out sunny and gorgeous. We saddled up our horses but had hardly left the yard when it suddenly got PITCH BLACK. We turned right around and JUST made it back to the barn when the storm hit -- a wild thunderstorm with huge hail! The storm lasted about 20 minutes, then the sun came out and a gorgeous rainbow appeared! It all happened so fast!

I've also been through some huge blizzards and hurricanes.

Even though weather can do lots of damage and it can be VERY annoying to live without electricity and water, I still think weather is exciting!

Hi Sean ...

Since no one else has answered your question I will be glad to! Especially since we just had some of THE weirdest weather here I have ever seen. I am sure - if you live in the US - you heard about the horrific fires here in California. I was right smack in the middle of it. The severity was caused by 90 to 100 mp winds of which I have NEVER seen or felt the likes of in So. Cal. We had a complete brownout that hit so fast you literally could not drive because you couldn't see 2 inches in front of your car. It was one of the scariest things I've ever been through. I was sure we were going to crash or be killed. It destroyed everything from crops, to dairy farms, to power lines, gas stations, street signs, street lights, a huge feed store, cars ... it was unreal. My girlfriend had the windows in the front of her house all broken and all the cars sitting in her driveway were trashed.

I have been caught in tornado weather in Texas and it was not as scary as this. It lasted almost 2 days (the fires lasted even longer) and did more damage than Hurricane Katrina if you believe that.

Hope I don't ever have to live through anything like that again!

Peace to you ...

Being stuck on the moors of Northern England on one of the coldest nights on record with winds straight from the arctic was not fun.

An ice storm that left behind below freezing temps, no power, and no real way to keep warm for 3 days. It was extremely unpleasant. It was the coldest I have ever been.
