I have a 2001 Town & Country Mini Van that it making a loud rattling noise when I go over any size bumps in the road. I have some Ideas to what it could be but, was wondering if anyone knew about this type of van having issues with the front ends on them.

they had problems with end links wearing out on some of them and about all of them would wear the shock tower bearings out,that will cause a noise in the front end of them,id also check the ball joints in it,the front ends on those wasn't built right to hold up,another goof by Chrysler,otherwise good vehicles though,good luck.

This model had a problem with tie rod ends getting loose an making a noise. Another thing that can rattle is the break pads. Apply a little brake and see if the noise stops when going over a bump. Another is the sway bar links to the lower control arms.

sway bar links and/or bushings. they get noisey but do not harm anything but that is a common problem with them..$200.00 or around there for both.. should be 1 1/2 hours for repair and the cost of parts. its a goood idea to replace both and save a labor charge down the road

yeah, it's the sway bar end links. Good solid construction, but not very quiet.
