Most keyboards (if not all) are designed to have keys that can be popped out by pulling up on them..then you can clean the region and pop back on the key...this is assuming you are referring to a desktop computer (not a laptop). For a laptop, if you are comfortable opening the computer, you can unscrew it open and get access to the keyboard and there you can separate its breadboard and the rubber pad above it and clean away.

Well, now you know why you aren't supposed to have drinks around the computer :-)
But, while I would not recommend the dishwasher, you can spray wash the keyboard, rinse it carefully and completely dry it. I have done it several times to rescue badly soaked keyboards. Pull key caps if you need to get access
I turn the keyboard upside down and use a spray bottle with warm mildly soapy water to spray up at it - so water does pool down into the electronics. Work the troublesome keys.
After you have done what you can, use clean water to spray rinse the surface.
I find that drying is done best, after shaking off all the loose water, by putting it in the direct sun and letting it bake warm for a couple of hours. Shaking it periodically will show if any odd drops are still inside.

If it wasn't a new and pricey keyboard I'd say go buy a new one 'cause the cheapo's (like mine) only cost $5.
Don't know if you are able to do this but here goes anyway.
If the back will come off with screws (don't try this if it snaps together) take it apart.
My keyboard lets you CAREFULLY snap the covers off the actual keys. Remove the cap lock key.
Radio Shack has an ELECTRICAL CONTACT cleaner that comes in a spray can. I've used this stuff before and it works.
Be very careful not to put a lot on the surrounding plastic and whatever you get on the plastic, clean quickly. If you can't get the back off and you need to spray does post-cleaning looks matter?
Rots -o-ruck!

Here is what you can do to clean your keyboard up.
1. Place it in the dishwasher. No soap, and make sure "dry heat" is off otherwise you will melt it.
2. Run it in the dishwasher.
3. Allow it some time to dry completely. I usually let mine sit for about 24hours, and shake excess water from it every so often.
4. Once completely dry, connect back into computer. The keys will no longer stick.

You can honestly positioned your keyboard within the dishwasher, however you need to ensure it is fully obviously dry (allow it airdry no less than a pair days) earlier than you utilize it once more or it's going to quick out and be ruined. Read the supply it offers instructions. The method I determine is that in the event you had been going to shop for a brand new one besides, you could as good do that first.

Over the years, I've spilled a lot of stuff, and you can take them apart and turn them upside down, but invariably you're just hosed. Of all the keyboards I've spilled stuff on, I've saved just the smallest fraction. I keep extra keyboards around for when I blow one.
It'll be worse now with a laptop - much more expensive to replace. I'm much more careful where I keep my beverages now.

Not the most ethical thing but you can clean it really good, with solvents and stuff and let it dry. If it still doesn't work, it will be so clean that you can take it back from where you got it and ask for an exchange?? "I don't know, It just doesn't work."
