I'm 17 years old, and female. I have a swollen lymph node in my armpit (this might be from shaving) which previously had shrunk to a very small size, but has swelled up again. I also have mild back and rib pain. Earlier today I've had dull aching pain in my chest, and mild sharp pains on the sides of my chest/breasts (also a little underneath breasts). It seems that heat helps such as warming up my muscles, dressing warmly etc.. I've done a self breast check, and they seem okay. AT the moment they are slightly sensitive to the touch, but very mild. I also still feel a little achy, but compared to how I felt earlier I feel pretty good. I also keep thinking that the upper part of my sternum is more prominent or boney feeling than usual, like the cardilage is inflamed or swollen. I don't know what to make of it. Muscle strain? Costochondritis? I might end up going to the doctor anyway if my lymph node doesn't go away and if I do, I'll certainly ask, but until then, any ideas?

I had some of the same symptoms that you described about 10 years ago and it turned out to be that I had costochondritis. That sounds like what this could be but I would recommend seeing your doctor for further evaluation to see what they think could be going on.
