whenever i work out my chest muscle(bench press, machine, push ups, etc), my back hurts.
i've been working out for some time but i was ok. but it started to hurt about a month or two ago. first i thought i was gonna be ok, but it didnt get any better. i work on my chest muscle only twice a week. and i'm sure i'm doing it right.
should i go and see doc?

Maybe... sounds like you might have pulled something in your back and any excersize aggrivates it. You probably should see a doc just to be on the safe side.... but you probably just pulled a muscle.

I'm a massage therapist, You either don't have strong enough back muscles for you work out or you need a massage to workout some knots in your chest and back. Go to a massage therapist and ask for a deep tissue massage. You will have to take a couple days off from lifting, but you will feel better in the end. Good Luck!!!

If your 16- stop working out for about a month or so. 17+ i would think about seeing a doctor i had the similar problem and i went to see a doctor. He told me to ease of of working out so much go down in weight until you feel you are ready.

Work on your abdominal muscles they are usually the reason a person's back hurts, if it doesn't work after awhile go to a doctor

r you are using too much weight and your back is helping out your chest

You may be out of alignment and need to be adjusted a few times by a Chiropractor.

ask a trainer if you doin them right and start doing squats to help your back get stronger
