Is the fraction 9/11 larger than or less than the fraction 2/7?

9/11 = .818 = 82%
2/7 = .285 = 29%
That tells you that 9/11 is a larger fraction.
They way you get percentage would be to devide the Numerator (top Number) by the Denominator (Bottom number)
so A/B = A divided by B which would give you the percentage.

If you have a calculator handy, you can discover the answer to both your questions quite easily. In the calculator put 9 / 11 (on the calculator, it might be the division symbol, but my keyboard doesn't have that) and look at the result. If you move the decimal point two places to the right, you'll have your percent. Next, do the same with 2 / 7. You'll see which fraction is larger, and have your percents at the same time.
Also, assuming you're on a normal computer, there is usually a calculator in the "Accessories," which is usually in the Start Menu under All Programs.
And, if you can't find that, you can go to http://www.math.com/students/calculators/source/basic.htm and use a basic online calculator.

2/7 = 22/77
therefore:
63/77 or 9/11 in lowest term is larger than

2/7 = 22/77 <-- Make the denominators equal
9/11 = 63/77 <-- Make the denominators equal
9/11 = 0.818181818 <-- Need to be rounded off
~ 81.8181%
2/7 = 28.5714285%
So, 9/11 is larger if you convert it to percentage too.

2+2=2...wait wrong question... so if u have a visual imagination you can clearly look at the numbers, create it into a pie and see the remainder after the first number has been subtracted 9/11 is clearly way more then 2/7 at keast by 2/5...its all in perspective of your imagination... just think about it...no brainer..
