Do penance: join the Army and go to Iraq. You and people like you are why we are there. I have no sympathy.

Be happy - you got your war.

I know it must be hard for you to wake up every morning and think about him; the nights, wondering why he went to a foreign land to lay his life for people that perhaps do not care about freedom or about peace; however, your brother volunteered to serve and he went through a lot of hardship so you wouldn't have to.

Just consider that he made the greatest sacrifice anyone could do to ensure that you would never live a single day without freedom. I know that no words of mine could ease the pain and suffering of losing a loved one.

I lost a very good friend in Iraq in 2004; he was killed by an IED and he left behind a wife and a 5 year old son; how can you explain to a 5 year old why his daddy is not coming home... How can you?

All I can say is that he did not die in vain; there is a higher purpose for all of us and he, like many before him, laid down their live to ensure that our way of life would never be threatened by anyone.

God Bless.

Im sry about ur experience but all i can do is hope a decent prez would be elected next yaer and not a 2nd dubya which would atk iran and about a hundred thousand soldiers might die in that one.
I hope Bush gets tried for war-crimes and bring justice for ur brother and 1 million iraqiss and 400 soldiers he killed to profit himslef and his buddies.

Some will still deny the truth and says its "war on terror" which the whole world know is pure lie

SHAME ON ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR ROTTEN POSTS - YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. EVEN IF YOU THINK THIS IS FAKE - SHOW SOME DAMN RESPECT...THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO READ THIS WHO HAVE LOST PEOPLE IN THE WAR - AND YOU CLAIM TO BE ALL RIGHTEOUS AND OF GOD..SHAME ON YOU!

I am so sorry for your loss. Regardless of what anyone believes of this administration, no one can deny that your brother loved his country and died trying to protect us. Although I have never agreed with this war and I feel that we have moved from defensive fighting to offensive fighting, I will never blame the troops for the service that they provide. I just wish our gov't took greater care and really did treat those troops like their own sons and daughters. A lot less blood would have been shed.

There is no need for you to apologize or anyone who now feels mislead by this administration. All I pray for now is that this country has a turn-around and people start believing in "life" again instead of war. It will all come down to this next election and I hope people choose wisely. We are still one country and we need a president that can represent us ALL...not just half of us (is this even possible anymore?)

Amazing how many people supported Bush and the war BEFORE it is brought to their doorstep. Perhaps you should have actually thought things through before casting that vote, no?

Do you really think that resolution would have passed if every one of them in the White House and Congress had to send a close family member? DOUBT IT!!!

For those of you who want to flame me on that, check the stats of the chicken hawks in power that actually have close family over there.

Your brother volunteered for service, as did I. He knew the risks, and new the price that is paid in war. I seen many people die while there. People where getting seriously injured and worse long before we showed up. Sorry to hear about your loss, but again, it was your brothers choice to serve.

That is sad for you loss, however,

For those of us that are still serving and multiple tours to Afghanistan and Iraq, we will continue to serve with pride and honor knowing that our departed brothers and sisters DID NOT DIE IN VAIN!!!

Do not criticize a war you are not involved with, you have zero credibility.

You can support loved ones memories by not diminishing their contributions. Remember, they volunteered.

Respect those who have and do serve. To those who have served, be honorable here and be respectful to each other and stop the hate.

Well, gee...what can one say ? You've obviously been touched by this death, however, people say the same thing when their mother dies of cancer....Cancer then becomes their cause. Or some other event...whether it be drunk driving, or what not.
I am sorry for your loss, but that doesn't mean he died in vain, and Please do'nt do the same thing Cindy .....(can't remember last name) did by whining about it and recanting her support. Every word she said took away from her sone's sacrifice. He died a hero's death, he died for his country, he died a patriot and I might add and remind people....we do have an all voluntary armed forces. People that join the forces do what they are told, true, but also believe in what they do. You can't tell me today..in this day and age that the majority have the same self sacrifice attitude that was displayed in WW2. Some of us don't mind being the guardians so that future generations can thrive. I served for 20 years and put myself in harms way. Its a chance we all take.
Don't believe the liberal hype that the war isn't worth it, or that Bush lied. I guess if you say he did, you haven't actually listened to his original speech's...Hilary Clinton also jumped on board with support back then with 6 reason's not including WMD's that we needed to do this. Just because she flopped along with the Democratic party doesn't mean Bush was wrong, its just taking longer than normal.
And why ? Why wouldn't someone embrace freedom ? because they have never had it. They've had a terrorizing time of dictatorship, neighbors disappearing in the night and never seen of again, family members killed for protesting, Kurds were gased to control them, sadistic torments and barbarism existed.
War is an ugly affair, even if we have a viable and absolute enemy and even if we are winning. It wasn't meant to be a pretty sight, hopefully to prevent us from doing it every day. But in the midst of your despair, consider; Did you think it was fair that reporters were targeted ? that people were being be-headed ? Do you believe in honor killings of women ? Some even came to the USA and killed irregardless of our laws against murder. Do you understand that 911 was only a sucessful attempt to hit us...that terrorists have existed since the 1700's ? although we called them the Pirates of the Barbary coast.. They were state sponsored islamic priates. Iran pulled the strings on the 1983 bombing in Beruit of the marine barracks. Then the 1993 attack on the twin towers...which failed to bring them down but still killed people. They've been bombing all over the world for their sadistic cult of death. The soldiers that have fallen understand this, and they were willing to put on the uniform and go when told. To fight the good fight.
Now we have to worry about our own technology being used against us in unconventional ways. Do you realize that a dirty bomb is basically a device that only spreads radioactive dust ? it doesn't cause damage by explosion by design. Who would think twice upon seeing a cloud in the city ? all the AC systems in near by buildings sucking it in and distributing it to offices ? How would you contain a cloud ? Its not like you can mask it off, it will drift with the winds. And the radioactive particles (alpha and beta) will caus alot of damage to you if you get it in your eye's, open wounds or breath it in.
So mourn, it is natural, but do'nt think for a second that this is an ill gotten war. it is a necessary evil to protect America.

This war is more just than you think, death is a part of life, we come and we go, you should be so lucky you even had that great of a man as a brother. He signed up knowing what sacrifices could be made, HE MADE THEM FOR YOU and it probably sickens him in heaven to know that he has such an adolescant sister who doesn't even recognize what he did for you and your country.

Get a grip!

We are at war and I'm sorry you lost a family member, but I don't care to be a muslim babe.
