They provide companionship, unconditional love and entertainment. They give me a good reason to be needed. They provide exercise.
Best of all they never criticize, are always glad to see me and love me.
I can never repay my pets for what they give to me.

I love all of them, they love me in return. I always get kisses and cuddles, they are so entertaining to watch. From the cat walking my pug, to my tiny baby girl that has to be with me every single second of the day. My life would be empty without them, they are a blessing, aren't we all lucky that we have pets?
They think I am positively brilliant that I can use the can opener and open the bag of food for them

I believe that devotion is the most rewarding feature of both
our little dogs. When we arrive home they almost turn them-
selves inside out with their body shaking and tails wagging
frantically. Then they hop from the couch to the chairs trying
to get us to pick them up. So we have to sit down so they
can each take a turn getting into our laps for a little one on
one licking and wriggling with joy.
We never thought we'd get as small of a dog, much less
two, during our lifetime. But each kind of fell into our life and
we found we had just as much love to give a tiny dog as a
larger one. And they are lap dogs or body hugging ones at
least. They need to be right next to you as close as they can
get to sleep. They need that closeness and they adore body
warmth.
They have brought so much life into our lives with the laughter they take out of us on a daily basis. The things they
do that can be so comical. Always makes us laugh as they
interact and show their different personalities. They are so
much like children. And in fact they have become our chil-
dren in a manner of speaking. And they react to the pecking
order and revere my husband as their leader as the Alpha
dog. I don't know what I am yet, I'm still having to think that
over. LOL. They come to me, when they don't feel good and
want to be mothered and stroked. And they come to me to
be held when the Alpha dog is gone or up and busy. And
they will only sleep with me usually, if it's too warm next to
the Alpha dog and they want to cool off on the top of my
blanket LOL. They are two little characters, our big and little
Chihuahuas!

I love my Pomeranian because she is so devoted to me and no matter how rotten I may feel or what a bad mood I may be in, her love is unconditional. I can walk out ten minutes but when I come in the door she greets me as if I've been gone a month. She's comforting, loyal, and loving. What's not to love?

I love the way she smiles at me whenever I come home. Whether I'm gone for 10 minutes or a few hours, she always greets me with a big smile and a wagging tail. She also gets my side of the bed warm for when I come to bed. She's a black lab who I would be lost without.

Unconditional love.
Live alone and they are always there to greet me when I come in regardless of what time.
My 8 year old calico sleeps on my bed everynight and nugges me when the radio turns on each morning and then curls up next to me for attention.
My 2 1/2 year old black cat is very shy and hides when someone knocks on the door and comes out after company leaves to make sure everything is ok.

I have a dog, who's a wonderful watch dog. He only barks if someone or something is around that isn't supposed to be. He's very smart.
I have 6 cats. They all have different personalities and are always doing the cutest things. (doesn't ever parent of pets think that) They are a lot of company and part of our family.

Everything. Unlike kids, she never talks back, doesn't want to watch TV, likes to exercise, and eats what's put before her--and sometimes what isn't. She doesn't complain, argue (much), or refuse to go to bed. She isn't fond of baths, but loves going to the groomer. Just wants to be with me no matter what I do. My standard poodle is a wonderful and empathetic companion.

I haven't had a pet in years, due to so much traveling.
I just recieved a call from my best friend Gloria, her husband passed away earlier this month.
Guess what?
He willed me his parrot!! Boggie is his name. I asked my friend to please hold on to him until I move back to Texas. Boogie's(Humphrey Bogart) new home will be at the resort.
I am the only person who can handle Boogie, he is just putty in my hands. I know my husband will win him over. My husband raised his last bird from an egg. It was a Blue and Gold Macaw named Fred, after Fred Couples, golf pro.

The same thing that can also drive me nuts...her energy and spirit. She's a little rat terrior, but we call her our mini exterminator. She goes after the snakes out in the yard, and if a palmetto bug (big ugly roach) get in the house, she's on it in a flash.
She seems to know that I've been under the weather the last couple days and has been staying right by me. Great little foot-warmer!

I love my dog. He's a big, lovable oaf, with a very sweet
personality. Don't ask me what kind he is. I couldn't
begin to tell you, but I think he has some chow and some
husky, and some shepherd, and some golden retriever,
but who cares. He gives us unconditional love, is always
happy to see us. We rescued him years ago from the pound.
I would always get a dog there.
