It is a major tool of Harry's through all the last books, although the movies don't bother to show it so much.
Book 4, Harry is out late discovering the secret message inside the Golden Egg, and Moody sees it and asks to use it.
Book 5, The DA need to check where Umbridge is to go back to the different house common rooms, so Harry uses it then.
Book 6, Harry tries to find out what Draco is doing to help Voldemort, and looks for where Draco disappears to.
Book 7, Harry can see Ginny's dot in Hogwarts while he is on the run, and later, sneaks into the Ravenclaw common room using it

Finally, JKR was asked if Harry's children use it. She expects they nick it from Harry's desk at home and have their own adventures while at Hogwarts.

I know I'm mentioning a lot of what has already been mentioned, but

Book 4: Harry uses it to make sure no one is coming as he uses the bathroom to figure out the message in the golden egg. "Moody" knows that he has it.
Book 5: Harry uses it often to check for patrols and Umbridge and Filch, when the DA meetings are complete. He makes sure that all the students get back to their common rooms safely.
Book 6: Harry watches it like a hawk trying to find Draco. He notices that Draco is often not on the map. He also gives it to Hermione at the end of the book to look for Draco or anyone else when he leaves with Dumbledore.
Book 7: Harry takes it out late at night to watch Ginny's dot pacing the common room. He also pulls it out at the end of the book when he's trying to figure out where Luna and him ended up when they left the room of requirement.

JK Rowling said that Harrys children (most likely James) will steal it from Harry when they are at Hogwarts. Perhaps this is a bit of foreshadowing? :)

The Marauder's Map is mentioned in the 7th book because Harry watches Ginny's dot while he's away from Hogwarts. So I don't know what the final fate of the map is but we do know that Harry kept the map through the 7th book.

i'm twenty and that i admire Harry Potter. surely I in simple terms re-study the full sequence and it replace into in simple terms as solid via fact the 1st time I study them. I even have buddies (26, 23) who get excitement from them in simple terms as much as I do and my cousin who's 35 has consistently been a fan. certainly, J.ok. Rowling is an astounding author, I nevertheless chortle out loud at lots of the factors or perhaps cried returned even nonetheless I knew what replace into going on. do no longer enable the "toddler's books" identify scare you via fact the Hobbit replace into in fact categorised as a toddler's e book while it replace into first revealed even nonetheless the instructions and symbolism in the back of it could no longer often be desperate by utilising a toddler analyzing it. as far as Twilight...i'm no longer a great style of a fan. It replace into solid, yet you may definately tell how inexperience Stephenie Meyers is as a author. i found the saga exciting yet VERY predictable. it somewhat is an astounding sequence to study while you're in to extra romance novels and sappy forms of information via fact it somewhat is stuffed with cheesiness. a lot of human beings nevertheless enjoyed it regardless of all that, yet to me it replace right into a turn off. The vampires and werewolves have been the final area of the story and her ultimate writing replace into accomplished from their perspectives. i assume in case you quite are not in to analyzing in the 1st place the technical factors somewhat does no longer hassle you that lots nonetheless.

He has the Marauder's Map in the last book so I'd say he keeps it.
