This is the site for senior citizens, I am not sure if it is for the British or the Americans.

I just wondered because Americans are getting the British pensioners reported, they are even getting them suspended for telling a joke.

Why are the Americans coming to the uk site, and reporting them for telling a joke.

I dont want to go to the American site. I just don't want them to come over here, and start reporting and getting us suspended for telling a joke.

Some of the same questions are on both sites, since both countries are English speaking. I am on the USA version now. I just flipped to the UK site and there were less questions than on this one. If you click on the USA flag at the bottom of the page, you will be on the USA site. If you click on another country, you'll be on their site.
EDIT: Either can answer the questions they see. It's as I said, it depends on which site you personally are on. Try clicking on the flags at the bottom and see the difference. The questions will be in the language of that country also.
EDIT: It happens here on the USA site all the time too, someone reporting innocent questions and answers. We are not coming to the UK site, we are in the USA section. If you will click on the USA flag you will see all the questions that are in the UK site are here also. Sorry you all are having these problems, but we don't know who is doing the reporting.

I'm in the USA and your question came up in the Senior Citizen section. I didn't know questions were divided into Americans and UK. I don't think we are limited on our access to questions.
I don't know what to say about the reporting part. It sure does happen to lots of people. I just try to give honest answers and ignore insults.

I don't believe that many Americans use the British site by choice (though of course some do and I for one welcome them). I think the people who administer Y/A believe the the British seniors citizen site is underused and and combine it with the American and Canadian sites to create traffic. Maybe I am wrong but that is the impression I have.

This site is for anybody who speaks English and who has access to it. As for your belief that the Americans are reporting you and getting you banned all I can tell you is just because you are reported doesn't get you suspended, you have to actually do something to be suspended. Maybe your jokes are deemed to be offensive, it is not allowed to do or say anything which could be considered offensive or personal to anyone, it is not allowed to mock religion or beliefs and certainly not race. Best of luck.

I do not know but I'm a Brit and I answer on it and sometimes ask a question. In any case I like to hear the American point of view even if I do not agree with it. Abusive replies excepted. Do we get Q & A from down under on this

Dear: I'm sorry that some of our American problems are
seeping over to you. I wish
there was some way to keep
them separate, but there's not.
All English Speaking countries are just lumped
together.
I guess Yahoo just surmised that everyone would play fair....well there's many that come on American Seniors that play too many violent
video games and must act
out on us older folks.
Complain to Yahoo and see
if that helps.

JIm. All the people that have told you about clicking on the uk flag are correct. You can pick the site you choose.
I have to say though, and please do not take offence, no one can be sure it is an american doing the reporting.
I for one am really pleased to interact with other countries, I have made some wonderful friends from America, Canada, Australia, in fact all over the world.
Every country has it's trolls as well as it's nice people. Age doesn't come into it either. As far as I'm concerned, if people are respectful to others they are welcome how ever old they are.We can teach the young about the past and they can teach us about the future. Don't forget it is the world wide web.
Now have a hug from me and don't worry about what can't be changed. ((Jim)) x

I'm a Yank, and I star ALL jokes (even if I don't catch the humor at times) in an attempt to encourage humor. Enjoy the English speaking Brits, Canucks and Aussies for their wit and humor, and humanity. Don't know that reporting can be isolated to the USA, but if so, readily admit that we have our share of "butts" -- they exist worldover.
Personally look at the report button as something to be used for racism, extremely foul language and the like.

The troll I had last week was one named Joan C from the UK. This site is for everybody. It is the senior category.

Jim, this site is for everyone. Don't let one anal person turn you off to Americans. That would be like me taking one anal Britian and getting turned off to you. I am an American. This is a fun site and to tell you the truth I don't care if you spell a word incorrect.
Come on, have fun, enjoy the jokes
