As the question says, I'm looking for recommendations of a dolby 5.1 sound system for a PC with excellent sound quality. I don't want to spend more than $100. If anyone has excellent recommendations for a 2.1, don't hesistate to post those as well. I'm mostly going to use these for gaming and watching movies.

I can't help you with the Dolby part, but I can recommend the Logitech 5.1 X-530 speaker set with a subwoofer that costs about $75.00. I have them set up on my PC, and love the sound they put out. I got mine from Walmart. If you choose to get a set, but don't want to or can't get them from there, there are other places that you can choose from, as well. I did a Google search for you and have included a link for the first page of the search results.

This confuses me - Dolby is a way of processing sound - it should have nothing to do with the speakers but should be a feature of the game and maybe the sound card that is delivering sound to the speakers' amp.
