I don't know about the smallest but the shortest and as "Baby Poots" said the Roe River. It's located near Great Falls, Montana

there are countless streams, creeks, brooks, and other bodies of water that run for very short distances. And in many cases only exist at certain times of the year. From that stand point, I don't think it would be possible to answer your question.

If you're trying to find the shortest river of a specific size, then you should define your parameters for what qualifies as a river.
