Welcome to reality! It is nowhere written that life is fair. This fairness and concept of a "just" world are ideas basically brainwashed into our heads throughout childhood. The question better asked is why do we believe the good BS we hear growing up and believe all the moral crap were supposably supposed to embrace?
They don't need to wash the windows -they know what's going on in the world, they just don't care because they are only interested in what their position in power provides via profit for them.

I have a very simple method of determining who to vote for. I ignore anything a candidate says about themselves as self-serving hogwash, I listen to what they say about their opponents. Then I vote for the candidate that the opponent says shares my beliefs!
In the case where neither candidates "dirt" matches my views, I vote for the one who I think will do the least damage!
As far as trusting any leader or candidate: I firmly believe that you can be certain that a politician is lying, anytime they are talking! Trust them? NO way!

I sure am glad you set us straight on that, I never knew that all our leaders were liars.
Never knew the rich were out to get the working class either, You see I don't know anyone in the working class that ever took a paycheck from a poor man.
And I'd bet most rich people are rich because the middle class works to make them money and probably buys things that make other rich people money.
Now why would a rich guy not want his customers to have money?

Who trusts the government? Not me! Consequently I haven't voted for about 5 years either. Perhaps you are naive.

I sure as hell don't. Never did. But not trusting them means you actually have to get off your butt and vote or do something about it. Most Americans would prefer not to do that.

Stop listening to the media. THEY are the ones that are lying. Get out there and get to know what good work politicians do each and every day for our democracy.

I do not trust our leaders; republican or democrat. They are all there for personal gain and glory. They do not represent the people; just their own interest!!!!
