Bicycling, weights, running, and other exercises. Try babysitting. It only works if you try to keep up with the kids. That can be murderous.

Bicycling. I know this because I've been consistently biking since I was in the 5th grade, so I have developed quadriceps. I think this also comes from biking long distances, or just biking around neighbourhoods & on the bike path pretty much all day.
