I do remember as a young lad seeing Regis on the Last night show before Johnny Carson. I can't remember the host name. I do remember he would tease Regis just about every night until one night Regis unexpectedly announced that he was tired of the verbal abuse and that he was quitting the show and walked off and never came back. The host and the audience as was I were stunned. I'll never forget that night. I'm not sure what he did after that.

He was a straight man on a late night show starring Joey Bishop in the 60's. Much like Ed McMahon was to Johnny Carson.

He has always been a talk show personality. He was Joey Bishop's sidekick on Bishops talk show back in 1967. He has done local talk shows in Los Angeles and San Diego.
He is not a singer or actor. He is strictly a talk show personality.
