It would make me feel better, but I never see it happening anymore. I don't see many old lady on the streets where I live. But last week, I did help one of my customers in and out of the office door. She was on crutches. That made her feel good and me too.

I feel good after helping anybody, especially giving money to the homeless people on the streets, or helping a staff member at Wal-Mart put fallen inventory back onto the shelves.
It's good to help because it's hard to see that in people these days.
But I bet old ladies have flying cars these days, soo....

LOL!!
Of course it does. Might not be a street, but a sidewalk cafe or out the door, The other day, an ole man sittin in a high pickup asked me to help his wife up into their truck. WHEW. I could hardly get her in their. I felt really bad for them. Why do they drive that BIG OLE thing??? And then i thought...well, maybe thats what they had before their health went bad and they dont have the means to cash it in on something smaller. WOW, that would be so bad!! and my parents are almost their age and in such good health! Im so oooo thankful!! :) so blessed!

I did help a little old lady in my local supermarket last week,
she could not reach some of the higher shelves.
I was shopping myself but she must have absentmindedly mistaken me for a staff member and after I got her the box of cookies from the top shelf she must have thought that a 'personal ' shopping assistant was a handy thing to have.
So she kept asking ' where's this?....can you reach that?
In the end I just pushed her shopping cart around following her
around obediently.
I was in no hurry and found it quite amusing........
And yes........it made me feel rather better.

I will still do that, often in a direction I may not be going.
I will politely give a woman a few choice word s when she sends her kid across the street when there is a Zebra crossing within yards.

When I was MUCH younger my best friend & I were walking somewhere & this old lady fell on the sidewalk right in front of us. We just stood there for a moment looking at each other like "What should we do?!" We finally ran over & helped her up!! It made us feel good!! I think we were about 12!

I actually have felt like doing that. I know that if I'm getting on a bus or something I will help them up the stairs and make sure they get seated.
I have a friend who is in a wheelchair that is motorized and there was a 4 way stop and my friend stopped her wheelchair in the middle of the intersection so she could cross.

I feel better after doing a good deed for someone but I don't brag on it or dwell on it like some people do. My friend's aunt is an elderly woman and I go and help take her places and do things for her but I don't care to. Someone asked me the other day why can't she find someone else to do something for her and I told them I didn't mind doing things for her.
