Jesus Christ, I'm a Republican and I shudder at the idea of a fascist government. The last time a country had a fascist government, the whole world ended up in World War II.

Seriously, no republican would openly discuss fascism as a positive thing. If what you are asking is why republicans want a government that RESEMBLES fascism from the early part of the 20th century, then I think I would try to answer that very interesting question. So ask that question.

not wanting to live under a socialist or communist ideology or system does not make the only option available fascism. Our country was set up as a representative republic with a free market system. Republicans merely wish to continue under the same system that has worked pretty reliably for the last 200 + years.

we do? I must have not gotten the memo. Personally, I just dont want a socialist govt, sorry if that makes a lil too much sense to you. What I dont like is our administration not effectively spending money and effectively fighting the War on Terror. What I dont like are Dems who feel that the lives of terrorists are much more precious than innocent unborn babies. Our govt, both parties, have a lot to work on. They need to get their act together. Personally, I just want an uncorrupt govt.

They don't. They might (at times, in largely token ways) oppose the socialism of the left, but fascism is not the opposite of socialism, capitalism is.

Nominally, both parties support the constitution, which is quite incompatible with fascism. Though, both parties also seem happy to slowly errode those very protections. Politicians just seem to crave power, even when they're 'in power,' they want more.

In what ways does your tiny litlle pigtailed head, with the rainbow background, feel that Republicans seek to be the facist party? Explain yourself.

It's not Republicans that want to seize guns, and nationalize everything, such as healthcare, or re-write the history in the text books.

You're confused. Hope this helps.

That definition does not fit Republicans at all. What are they teaching in schools now, kids don't know what definitions are.

Hon, the word is Neo-Con...

Besides, there is no difference between the two political parties anymore.

Wait. Oh yeah, they both want to spend money, just on different things. (Either the War or big organizations that rip money out of peoples pockets, you choose!)
