The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton?

I think Johnny is a dynamic character, meaning he changes throughout the book. What do you think, and please give some examples. Thanks! :-)

At the beginning Johnny seems to be a nice guy with a "greaser attitude"..after realizing what Ponyboy was giving up hiding out with him, he decides to turn hisself in. This would have been a great step for him to overcome everything that he had gone though if not for the fire.
