Yes. Just look up AIPAC. They have both parties covered.
I'm surprised they haven't destroyed the web pages that speak of their existance! They also control groups like the Bilderberg as mentioned above. They are THE strongest, most powerful lobby in history.

Big business interests influence policy decisions, and control the mainstream media.
Because of this:
1. Saudi Arabia can, at the same time, be a US ally and the world's largest exporter of Islamic terrorism.
2. The borders will remain open to illegal employees.... I mean...immigrants.
3. Our bloated and inefficient healthcare system will not be reformed in any way that will help consumers and hurt industry shareholders.
4. War in Iraq.
And so on..............

Big Business, Lobbyists, and Special Interest Groups. The average citizen means nothing to either party. It is about power and control. You cannot have either without the money.

No. However, they do make policy decisions based on the same conditions: reality. They may have distorted views of reality, but some of it still gets through to them. So, they are often forced to make sane (or expedient) decisions, rather than purely dogmatic ones - when they do, they're often the same decisions.
