I had unprotected sex and got a birth control shot for the first time three days later. My period has not come and I'm getting worried. Could I be pregnate?

its definitely possible. take a test or go to the doctor

It's possible. FYI - You're not supposed to get your period on the shot so the absence of a period isn't uncommon. Did your doc give you a pregnancy test before giving you the shot? Take a home test or go to your doc for a blood test.

What type of shot?

Depo provera?

People who take that shot may never have a period while they are on it. They can also bleed for months, or have a regular period.

Did they give you a pregnancy test prior to the shot? They should have!

If you are worried take a pregnancy test.

And, get off of depo (if that is the shot you got).

unprotected sex.. sheesh you are suppose to do the shot first..hmmm? Maybe this lesson learned will be a long 18 years for you!
