Auto Electronics. You will not see it in colleage. Maybe in a VoTec school. You'll need to go to college if you want to sign this guy's pay check.

I don't know that this is something you would learn in college. Maybe it would be a subset of something at a vocational school about being an electrician. Or there might be a program somewhere in auto customization.
I think your best bet here would be to get on with a shop that does this kind of work and try to learn the ropes.

That would be a Tech school course of study. It would be a straightforward title "Automotave Electrical" etc.
Now if you wanted to learn how to make the systems, that would be Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. I would say EE! I'm a Civil E.

Electronics. Usually offered at junior or community college. The electronics at a 4 year college would be more theory oriented.
