So yea, I'm a 17 year old male which is in need of a hobby... Sports don't interest me, I've already gone through Guitar Hero and DDR, and attempted Origami. So now I'm oftentimes stuck at home dead bored out of my mind.
or something of the like

Anyone have some ideas for a hobby I can take up? Indoor, outdoor, whatever, doesn't matter. Just something entertaining I can enjoy?

Try coin collecting. It doesn't have to cost you a lot. You can go to the bank and pick of a box of coin (whichever denomination you like) for exactly face value. A box of pennies is $25, a box of nickels is $100, a box of dimes is $250 and boxes of quarters or half dollars are $500. You don't have to buy the whole box. The bank can pull out whatever amount you like.

Once you get a box, you can go through and pull out the better coins (there are books to help with this or websites). You can pick up a coin album and try to fill all the holes (get one for each year) or just search for interesting ones.

The coins that you don't want can be returned to the bank and put straight back into your account (though it's often better to return the coins to a different bank (not just a different branch but a different bank) so that you don't search the same coins over and over). Everything you find will have been obtained at face value. You'd be surprised what people have found. Check out these links to see:

Also check your change for interesting finds.

Some things to search for: wheat pennies, silver dimes, silver quarters, old coins, error coins, coins with the "S" mintmark - it could be a proof coin etc. There's always the chance that you could find a real treasure!

It's also helpful to buy a red book. It can help you price your coins and will answer many of the questions you may have.

OR IF THAT'S NOT FOR YOU...

Take up an instrument! It is fun learning and improving your skills. I've played the trumpet for six years and i love it. Saxophone is easiest. Piano or keyboard is great if you want to sing along.
Prices:
Trumpets can range from $100 (beginner) to $10,000 (professional)
Renting - $14 a month

Good luck buddy!

Most sports don't do it for me either, but I've joined the SCA and am learning rapier. That's like fencing but better :)
http://www.sca.org Have a search through here to find your nearest group. If you like it, show this page to your folks: http://72.14.235.104/search?q=cache:w6kHyoDjzA0J:www.sca.org/officers/chatelaine/SCATeens.pdf+sca+teen&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=7 Or you could just drag them along. It's nice to have interests in common with your parents, it gives you all something to talk about.

I'd suggest skateboarding. It's not a sport but still has the physical benefits of one. It takes lots of practice but progression is part of the fun. Give it a try bud.

alright my friend , sounds like a desperate call for help. if at home alot already, try woodburning . something in arts and crafts. if that does nothing for you. try a volunteer work at a local hospital or school . there i no need in waisting valuable time. others could benefit with your knowledge and time. share it. good luck my friend . waste no more time.
