PROBLEM #1

The volume V of a given mass of gas varies directly as the temperature T and inversely as the pressure P. If V =552.0in.^3 when T=460 degrees and P = 10/lb/in.^2, what is the volume when T=11-degrees and P + 10 lb/in.^2?

NOTE: when I write ^2 that is to the power of 2.

PROBLEM #2

A car dealer advertised a big sale by stretching a string of banners from teh top of the building to the edge of the driveway. IF the building is 226 m high and the driveway is 39 m from the building, how long is the string of banners?

PROBLEM #3

1)
V = KT/P
K = PV/t
P is the same in both cases:
V/t = V/t
552/460 = V/11
V = 11(552/460) = 13.2in^2

2)
L = √(39^2 + 226^2) = 229.34m

3)
b = √(c^2 - a^2) = √(25^2 - 13^2) = 21.354
