I'll correct what you have, but that's all.

When one thinks of Africa, one tends to think of Africa as one nation. Very few people know that there are many various cultures in Africa, from their languages to their societies and ways of living. Located below the Sahara, Africa had very limited contact with Asia but maintained contact with Islam. Islam influenced African life including their societies, religion and changes in technology. City-states in both western and eastern Africa were tied to large trading networks, while North Africa was divided into two competing Muslim states.

When one thinks of Africa one thinks of Africa as a whole but very few know that there are many different cultures there. Their languages, their societies and their different ways of living are divided up by which country they are in. Islam is a great influence on many of the African countries. In some countries the population is over 90% Islam. This has influenced their societies, religion and thechnological advances. Western and eastern Africa were tied to larger trading networks while countries in North Africa have been divided into two competing Muslim states.

We tend to think of Africa as a single nation, but the reality is that Africa is diverse and composed of many different cultures, ethnic groups, languages and lifestyles. Prior to its colonization in the 17th and 18th centuries, sub-Sahara Africa had limited exposure to Europe or the eastern part of Asia, mainly due to its challenging geography, which profoundly shaped Africa. However, its ancient roots and influences from Egypt, Morocco and the Sudan meant that Islamic cultures would later help to shape African life with their societies, religion, and technological advances.

This goes in the body of the essay, to support your hypothesis: "City-states in western and eastern Africa were tied to larger trading networks while North Africa had been divided into two competing Muslim states."

The philosophy instructor had some interesting didactic strategies. She could elucidate the main esoteric and erudite fabric and imbue it with meaning that by no skill did no longer edify her pupils. whilst some suggested she replaced into pedantic and in simple terms wanted to indoctrinate them, others argued that she replaced right into a real pundit with a particular variety of pedagogy.
