Actually, it is normal yes... but there are several things the doctor can do/perscribe for you. I have the same problem. I am in physical therapy, and wear a maternity belt. My doctor advised that I should do both, and that I would be more comfortable if I did. I went to my first physical therapy today, my right hip was an inch lower than it should be, they re aligned it (no bone crunching or anything... I promise) and I already feel better, the maternity belt helps keep it in the right place. Your hips are moving from the hormone relaxin which is good, but you don't need them to move THAT much yet.
Also, you should ask your doctor, if you have the same thing as me, it can cause permanant damage. My bones were actually rubbing together.
Good luck, and congrats!! 3 weeks to go!

I'm not a doctor, and you certainly need to ask him but.. if you want a non-medical opinion this is my guess:
Pubic symphysis separation. When you are pregnant, your body produces a hormone called relaxin. It helps to loosen your joints, soften and lengthens the cervix and soften the pubic symphysis (the place where the pubic bones come together in your pelvis which is not really bone, but cartalidge). Anyway, this can sometimes cause our pelvis separate a little bit before labor, and it can be quite painful!
Symptoms include pain when lifting your legs, walking, rolling over in bed, pain radiating down the back of the legs, and sometimes even bladder dysfunction.
A maternity/pregnancy belt can sometimes help. Bedrest, and water can help relieve the pain. Giving birth will help too :-) You may have some pain (sometimes a bit worse) after the baby is born, but it will disappear before you know it.
Yes, it can hurt *that* bad. I'm sorry (((())))) It will be over soon! Check into getting a maternity support belt!!

Your body is preparing itself for childbirth. Check with your doctor to make sure that you're okay, but it is probably normal. Good luck with the birth... it is painful, but it is worth it! And, even with all of the technology we have, the only way to bring another human being into this world is to have a woman deliver it. It's the most horrible pain in the world, and a man could never handle it, so that's why God chose women to have babies. You will love your little baby once he/she is here!

This is not normal. I am worried that you may be in early labor. Are you having back pain or a tight feeling in your stomach?
If you are in this much pain, I think I would call your local hospital or doctor and see what they say. You might even want to just go to the emergency room and let them monitor the baby for awhile and see if it is labor. I would take pain seriously.

i have been experiencing thia exact pain throughout my whole pregnancy
i wouldnt worry> especially being so close to your being due.
you are probably just opening up andit hurts you more than it hurts other people.
good luck and hang in there.
i had seen my doc in the begining when i first started feeling this and my doctor said it was normal and to take some tylenol if the pain was unmanagable>
so if you want try some tylenol.......
does it feel almost like if your hips and pelvis are breaking?
thats how i feel every once in awhile and thenit hurts more when im sitting or laying down and then stand up.....
if this is how you feel its normal....
good luck

Sounds like those ligaments are stretching to the limits, and your body is making way for that baby (who's more than likely head down and in the birth position.) I had two babies, and do remember a lot of discomfort, especially with my second. As a general rule though, I would contact your Dr's office, even if it's to speak with the nurse, just to check. Think of it this way though, you are so close now to when you get to hold that baby. Enjoy!!

YES!!!! Ur body is virtually stretching out. The baby is moving down and is running out of room to move around so u have to pay for it. LOL. I know its not funny and i know it hurts, but ur almost there. And once the baby is here u will forget all the pain. Just hold on... CONGRATS AND GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!
