Anyone know or have any educated guesses? I find this to be very interesting.

Humans have been here in modern form for ~150,000 years. Nonetheless, it is believed that because of the hyperbolic nature of our increase, there are more people alive today than have been alive previously. Therefore, since there are almost 7 billion people alive, 15 billion would be a fair guess. 25 billion would be more conservative, since people might go back as far as 400,000 years in nearly modern form.

I agree with Johan. The population is exploding now and it seems likely that there are as many people alive today as have been alive in all of the past time that humans have existed.
