Now the recent thing is that they believe Shakespeare didn't even right all of the plays and texts credited to him. Apparently he was born to a poor family that wouldn't have been able to provide him with the proper education needed to write like that. Accoriding to someone, he was illiterate. I don't really believe all that.
Just because he was married and had three children doesn't mean he wasn't gay. It's possible that he was. Likely? I think not. Maybe he never told anyone, in which case, we would have no idea on whether or not he was a homosexual or not. That's just rumours.
But Dumbledore from Harry Potter is...just in case you didn't hear it on the news enough times...

And it was once claimed that the Iliad and Odyssey were not written by Homer, but by another blind, Greek poet who lived at about the same time. Who cares? And how would anyone know? I'm sure those of us in the gay community would be thrilled if it was true, and at the same time, all of his books would probably then be banned.
By the way, for those who don't know, all that is know about Homer is that he wrote the Iliad and the Odyssey and was a blind Greek poet.

According to various "authorities," Shakespeare was gay, bi, a secret Catholic, Francis Bacon, Christopher Marlowe, the Earl of Oxford, a secret Illuminati, a monarchist, a democrat, an anti-Puritan, or imaginary.
My own opinion is he was a genius, and let's leave it at that.

That is probably a byproduct of p.c. revisionist history. Take it with a grain of salt.
