I would personally get a PSP because it takes the best of both the PS3 and DS. With the PS3, you get great graphics, but it's not portable. With the DS, it's portable, but it's not as great a graphic quality.
I have a DS myself, because I like the function of the touch screen, and the mic function incorporated in some games. It really depends what games you'd like to play.
Have fun with whatever you get!

MOST of the PSP games look...lame at best but you can play movies and MP3 files...also you can hack it to play Snes games ^_^
with the DS you have more games to choose from and a more varied selection...
the ps3 needs to mature as a console system b/f i would buy it...

I have all of them and love each and every one!!! + the nintendo wii and I used to have the game boy but i gave that to someone... :(

Sorry but i would go with a pc, infinitly more upgradable, and you dont have to wait for the next successor to the format, a pc is way more versatile than any games console..........
