I, for one, had misgivings about GW from the very beginning, so I can honestly say I never voted for him. Some people learn from their mistakes but others never do. So, it's still a toss-up.
One of the problems is that the wealthy always vote...usually Republican, because they need to look after their own interests (money, corporations, stockholders, etc.) Unfortunately, the poor & the middle income, those that have the most to lose, are by and large too apathetic. They feel hopless & don't seem to understand how important it is for them to stay informed & go out & vote. Many are also misguided & fall for the propaganda & rhetoric the GOP is feeding them instead of opening their eyes & realizing they are not a part of Bushes "base".
"This is an impressive crowd — the haves and the have-mores. Some people call you the elite. I call you my base." —Presidential candidate George W. Bush, at the annual Al Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner, Oct. 19, 2000

Hard to choose sometimes between the choices.
What I have learned--- The wars, the cruelties, the corruption, and the instability of our governments seems to be endless. Our Country, The League of Nations and the United Nations have failed to bring peace out of the confusion. And it seems no-one "will or can " step up and stop it.
I do see Bush as causing destruction seven times greater than before,. But I feel others were avoiding many things--and that was not good neither. You can only put off things so long (like our debt--eventually things must be faced). Seems others felt by avoiding they kept their popularity. This is not a popularity contest.
So in answer--no I am not (or will not be) less knowledgeable about things that affect the future. I do listen and try to hear all sides no mater how unpleasant to my ears and heart. I just wish I saw more hope for a better government here and others saw the corruption and distress doesn't lay with just one figurehead but with many on both parties sides. Perhaps not the answer you were hoping for -but just stating my view.

No we are no wiser as they all stand up in the debates and tell all of us what we want to hear and than after they are elected they do what big business tells them to do. they have all lost touch with reality and the average everyday person andall are so wealthy they care only about their wealthy friends and are bringing our country down and we stand by haveing all out worldly possesions and not caring about what goes on and soon it will be too late. I feel it's a sad thing that we elect these people to work for us and all they do is work against us and basically steal and rob us and we won't stand up for what's wrong.
I'm sure many will vote for hilary because she;s a woman with out knowing what she stands for and all the charmers who stand there and tells us there lies. We seem to be lost in our own lives to seem to care who gets elected.

I've learned that we really do have a Duopoly in government: A Two party system that is really one party with two wings. And they are both worthless with throw away candidates bought and paid for by corporate interests tied to the banking, oil, insurance, pharmaceutical and energy interests. Voting for the better of 2 evils just keeps getting us more evil. Until we get rid of corporate money in the system and take back our country, we'll never learn nor will we ever really have our government back. We also need a multi party system that is truly competitive. Otherwise, we'll just keep getting the candidates the corporations pay for with the ILLUSION that we are picking candidates for change.

I actually think there are a lot of good candidate that the democrats have...the trick will be picking the right one...I'm for Obama or Edwards...both are well spoken and charismatic and they don't switch their positions as much as Hilary in my opinon. Of course, I'd take Hilary any day over Bush.
I think some people have learned their lesson...but I still don't know if it will be enough...there are still plently of neo-conservatives out there who will vote for anyone who says they are pro-life, anti-gay, and for waterboarding torture.

Not sure Bush is the problem. I think that the lack of will and resolve of the American people to fight back against terrorism is the larger issue. Osama Bin Laden was interviewed in 1998 in which he said the lack of response to the attacks of the 90s and the hasty retreat from Somalia showed him that he could attack America at will and could actually defeat America because Americans showed they lacked the will and resolve to fight/
All the thumbs down in the world wont change what Bin Laden said and he would know why he felt empowered better than any of us would

No, most Americans are just as dumb as before. A lot do not like Bush, but if a candidate a lot like him ran I'm sure they'd vote for him anyways.

We sure are, will it matter? Probably not. Vote for people and their stances on issues, not the party. Both parties are killing this country, government and industry are to close to each other, it's bad for America.

That question should only be directed to the silly bastards eho voted for him. Here in Pennsylvania, we voted for Kerry, and got rid of that prick Rick Santorum, in the process, too.
