I am an international student (Asian) who is now studying Commerce at University of Toronto in Canada. I am very interested in pursuing a career in acting and I am now looking for good Acting programs preferably in New York City. I have heard of Stella Alder, AADA, HB Studio, Actors Studio, NYU, Julliard... But I dont know which ones are better. Secondly, the four year program of NYU is not affordable for me. Do you have any particular program in mind that you think I may benifit from? And is it common/ likely for an Asian student to succeed in an acting program in the States? And do you thinks it's a okay choice if I take 2 or more years off for performing arts program and try things out then go back to commerce if nothing works out for me as an actress?

The good schools and even the bad one that you have listed are too expensive for you. If you do not have a green card, you cannot work as an actor in the US.
