I am looking for some decorating tips that will make my house stand out from all the rest this holiday season. Does any one have any ideas for me that will make this decorating season the best it's ever been?

Computerized lighting of your exterior lights.

Using a GE Lights and Sounds Machine (found at Lowes, Walmart, Home Depot and other stores), you can use it to flash and fade your lights to the preprogrammed music.

Using LED lights will allow you more lights than the conventional lights.

The unit will control 1400 watts on 6 circuits.

If that is not enough wow, then you need to upgrade to a light-o-rama or animated lighting controller

i keep all my lights white. we hang icicle lights and have lights on the bushes and little trees along the walkway and have a wreath hanging up also. I don't like all that tacky stuff like blowup stuff, or plastic figures. those spiral trees are neat too. just make sure to get a timer so you're not running out at night in your PJs cuzz you forgot to shut off the lights!

Not really an idea but something to keep in mind rather....keep it simple! Don't clutter up your yard/house with all kinds of things. And don't use the spray snow!
