only once. 14 years ago i walked to the open doorway of my mother's room some months after her husband committed suicide. i was about to turn on the light when i espied a silhouette sitting on the bed, lit from the curtained window behind it, in a posture of utter dejection--that was the word that came to me at the time, and the one that still nails the image perfectly. startled, i turned on the light, but it was gone. when i told my mother about it she sobbed and said that was the room where she felt him the most.

I choose to believe that I have. At the time we didn't think anything of it. Years later we were talking about it and decided it was angels. (This is the longest post for me so far):
I was 23, my cousin 24. We were in the mountains hunting. That time it was JB’s turn with his rig and he had a Nova at the time. It was snowing and like the fools we were, we kept going looking for a safe place to turn around. The only place went down hill, he tried to floor it and spin out but we got stuck bad. Being we were in the hills in the snow, we knew no one would be up there and I told JB we never told anyone which mountain we were going to be on that day.
Fear began to set in when down from the mountain road rolled a big black truck. He was breaking overnight tracks so I figured they'd been up there all night. They stopped, got out and one asked, "You need help?" We said yeah and they got out and got in the back to push us up the hill. I leaned in on the back all the while thinking, why don't they pull us out w/their truck? It's going to be hard getting up this hill in the knee deep snow. Then JB put it in drive, I made eye contact w/the middle man before we started pushing and thought he had some form of eye disease at first, because his eyes were bright blue. They started pushing and the car easily went up the hill.
We got onto the road, I thanked them they nodded and got into their truck and proceeded down the hill. We got in JB's car and proceeded down a little after them. We talked. I mentioned how we would have been up there for a long time if those guys didn't show. He said good thing we can follow their tracks down. We started talking about other things when a few miles down the road I noticed there was no truck tracks anymore. JB said they must have turned off. I remember those mountain roads very well, there were no turn offs. I replayed the road in my head over and over. JB said they know the roads better than me.
Sure they could have been two other hunters. Let me choose to believe we were saved by angels high in the hills.

Working at the church we women prepared food for the Mobil Meals program or Meals on Wheels I can never remember which. Good friends in a warm kitchen and chatting away. One asked me if I would keep the house after my Mother was gone. She had worked the program also until she became ill so they were her friends too. I said no, I had already seen one ghost in that house and would not stick around to see if another took up residence. My Mother and Father had the house built in the early 60s and it was their dream house. They had the eaves built extra wide so the shade would keep the house cool but it always seemed gloomy to me.
When Mother broke her hip I moved in with her to care for her which I did for over a year before she went into the nursing home. I missed my own house which was 4 miles away but I stayed in hers and sold mine because hers was only 4 blocks from the nursing home and I could visit her each day.
So I was living in the house alone when I stepped out onto the patio one afternoon and saw my father sitting in one of the lawn chairs reading the newspaper. He looked up at me as I stepped through the sliding door. I just shut my eyes and leaned against the door jamb for a couple of minutes listening to my heart pound. And when I opened them he was gone.
Dad had died of a brain tumor about 11 or 12 years before. We had brought him home from the hospital and set up a hospital bed in the den. There he was cared for by my aunt and myself and Mother was with him. And there he died one night in his sleep while I watched over him. When I took his vital signs and knew he was gone I woke my aunt and we bathed him and woke Mother to see him off when they came to pick him up.
It was a good death if there is such a thing. There was no pain because the doctors said the cancer ate out the pain centers in the brain first thing. If there are such things as ghosts and if there are haunted houses it would be a prime place for a man to come back and visit the house he loved and lived in for so long. But I don't believe in ghosts. I think my mind in a restful moment when I was thinking of other things just slipped a cog, forgot for an instant that Dad was gone and created a familiar image of him. What I saw was something I expected to see. It did not frighten me. Or rather he did not frighten me. What had me scared while I stood there with my eyes closed was that maybe I had stepped over into cloud cuckoo land. I never saw any ghosts in that house again. I just didn't like the house as well as my parents did. I sold it within a year of Mother's death.

....Once I gave a man a ride.Told him the only place he could ride was in the back of the truck. The front was full.3 women in there. We bought him breakfast and coffee when we stopped.Went 75 miles down the road and had a blow out.Back tire.He got out and told us to move away.Jacked up truck, put on good tire, then the jack popped out and cut his leg.Blood was everywhere. We ran and got a towel for him.He sat down and I started telling him to get in the truck to go find a Dr.He just smiled and about 2 seconds later a man came from the front of the truck and told him lets go.They went got into a white car and rove off.We jumped in the truck, but couldn't find the car when we tried to catch up to them.Strange but true.Angel in disguise,I hope so...

In 1970, my grandad died so I spent a week with my grandma to help with arrangements and phone calls etc. The first night I went to sleep in my grandads bed and awakened to a light at the head of my grandmothers bed. I got up on my elbow and looked and it was my grandad and I said "grandad are you ok?" He said ,"I'm fine, just tell grandma not to cry." I went back to sleep and when I was making breakfast, I heard my grandma sobbing quietly. I didn't want to upset her by telling her my dream but then out of the blue she asked if I had dreamed anything since I had been sleeping in grandads bed ! I told her about my "dream" and it seemed to give her comfort. I know I was visited , even though I'm sure it was in a dream.

The last house we lived in my husband woke up one night and a little old man in a ball cap was standing in the closet doorway reading something. There were other spirits and things happening in that house, but he's the only one that appeared.

There is absolute proof for the existence of Angels, and other awful spirits too. As a child I used to be fast asleep, and suddenly awaken to see a huge, man standing at the bottom of my bed. He was a sort of grey/green colour. I used to scream, and my parents would tell me I was just having an nightmare.
As soon as I became a Christian he stopped , actually he stopped about 2 years before. After Ministering in Africa, trust me, there is a spirit world. And their are angels, sent by God, i would not be alive today, with the car accidents, hold ups, guns at my temples, maid trying to stab me with a screwdriver. God sends His Angels. And I was not going to say this, but I think I will.
I watched:- www.endgame.com the other night. I sat on my bed and watched it on my computer on Utube. After that I sat on the bed and I said out loud: "Jesus, what is going to happen to all of us", and you can think I am mad, but I KNOW I am not, and "AUDIBLE VOICE said:- "I'm coming soon". And a peace just enveloped me.

Yes. I had one hold onto my ankle one day as I was leaning out to clean a window. I could feel the entire hand, fingers and all. Nothing scary, just reassuring. I have seen other ghosts, spirits or whatever you want to call them in my home on many occasions.

Angels exist in a different dimension than we. If angels appeared to people as described in the bible ...it's possible.
My mother felt the supernatural presence of my stepfather
Her description fully convinced me.
I succombed to a temptation that I was struggling to resist.
As I walked away I heard the devil laugh in an audible voice. Yes, It was Creeeeepy.

I experience the presence of the Holy Spirit in meditation and when I pray. My daughter saw an angel when she was 3 years old, described it and I believe she did see it.
