My 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee is suffering some strange problems?

When I accelerate from a dead stop it trembles like crazy, this is only in the morning. Once it gets moving its fine. One thing I do notice is that the tachometer goes down to like 200 rpms when this trembling takes place. The tach usually shows 900-1,000 when its idle. It just won't take off like it should. The more you get on the gas the more it trembles. When I'm on the highway going about 40 mph and I need to get moving, I "floor" it and it trembles really bad and jerks into gear.

Any reason why?

I would take it to a reputable repair facility for a diagnosis. Most decent shops take pride in diagnosing vehicles the first time. Usually this can be done with no obligation but paying an hours worth of labor time which is usually under a hundred dollars. Either that our you can listen to the Einsteins on here guess at a thousand different things costing you way more than if you would have just had it diagnosed by a pro to begin with. It's your money good luck.

i would try changing all my fuel filters it sounds like a gas flow problem in some ways or maybe one of the many sensor has gone bad or could be off on the timing there are 100 different things on new vehicles like that so just go down the line or put it in the shop

faulty coolant temp sensor, or wires to the sensor. The computer isn't getting the signal that the engine is cold, so not telling the injectors to inject the proper amount of fuel.

Its an indication of a misfire. Has it had a tuneup . It may have a bad spark plug or ignition wires.
