We knew by the 2nd date. We just kept dating because we were almost scared by our feelings for each other. We were both 25 yr old, so had relationships before. She proposed to me after 5 weeks and we were married 2 days later. That was in 1966, 41 yrs ago. I don't recommend doing things that quickly, but you know that quickly. I was widowed in grad school and my first wife & I also knew within the first few weeks. But we didn't get married till after graduation. This is why I wonder about the couples who write in to here and start "My boy friend and I have been together 4 yrs..." and they still don't know.

I meet my husband and two weeks later he proposed and 6 weeks later we were married. We have been married now for about 7 years. It differs by person and it is a gut feeling.

MMMMMMmmmmmm, I would you will know when you know, which is not very helpfull. I knew after a few months.
But, if you aren't sure about someone, take your time to either make sure they are the one, or make sure they are NOT the one.

It depends. But I think you have to go through some good and bad times together before you realize they are "the one"

Everyone is different but you'll know. Just don't rush anything and don't make things out to be something they're not.
