A Zinc a day will help tremendously... the cold virus can not survive with zinc.

I once suffered from Chronic Bronchitis. I would suffer sometimes 3 to 4 times per year! Usually when there was a major change in the pressure outside (I live in the north, and the temperature spikes and dips do wonders to chronic sufferers of bronchitis!). Each time I would get horrible hacking coughs, hoarking up green phlegm..it was so frustrating!

The key to getting rid of your bronchitis is to find a way to completely eliminate the germs that are causing all the phlegm and irritation leading to your hoarking cough and heavy breathing. Keep reading to learn how to do kill these germs!!

This page it will change your life and make you feel 100% better within just 24 hours!

The flu shot does not utilize live virus. I am scheduled to get mine the end of this month, along with a pneumonia shot. I have just recently gotten over a really bad case of bacterial bronchitis....nasty!...had me so, so down and feeling horrible.

I do use some of the home/alternative/herbal remedies and the vicks vapor rub on the soles of the feet does work!

Also HOT decaffineated green tea with lots of lemon

Drink plenty of liquids and rest. I have found that the more I rest, the shorter the cold; and, fortunately I do not get many, which is a miracle since I work with children. At 61 I am currently on no medications and will avoid any sort of medication as long as possible. I don't see them as healthy.

For colds, ibuprofen and, if necessary, Drixoral for head/sinus stuffiness. For a cough, Robitussin DM and Hall's mentholyptus cough drops. Lots of liquids, lots of rest. At night, a good smear of Vick's on the throat and under the nose...feels good.....

Haven't had bronchitis in 10 years. I'm disgustingly healthy.... Usually get one cold a year.....

I start taking echinacea, goldenseal twice daily when the first snap of cold comes in and use it all winter, one to two weeks on then off two weeks. It builds up immunity so I don't get the colds/bronchitis. I've done it for years and not been sick. Don't start taking it if you're already sick. It's preventitive use can be researched by typing in the product name to learn more about it. To your good health.

Wash hands repeat and repeat. The more we do that the less we will get sick. But when it does happen I like the jack daniels answer myself. Too bad I no longer drink alcohol. Hot brandy used to make me feel better and sleep like a baby.
