No, I'm not qualified to bless anyone. What I DO say, however, is Gesundheit (am not sure of the spelling).

Yes. If you can give your blessing to a complete stranger, then you genuinely feel for the people around you. And it also make them feel good too. Try it and see if they smile and say thankyou.
Also... did you know that the custom of blessing someone when they sneezed originated in the middle-ages when it was believed that sneezing left your soul open for the devil to jump in.

Yes, and in fact earlier today someone on the other side of the thin walls of my office building sneezed and I blessed them. I dont even know who it was.

yes. my mother drilled it in to me that as a "delicate flower of the south" one must ALWAYS bless someone. its a rather aggrivating habit though, and i do admit that people give me strange looks after i say it.

No, but my 17 year old daughter did in the tube station recently and the man just glared at her. She felt really awkward and I don't think will do it again. Oops!

Old habits are hard to break and I feel better when I do for some strange reason.

yes, and I also pray for them sometimes in my head (not when they sneeze, when I think they need help)
