...at least I think it's from the 50s. All I can remember is that it is in black and white (I'm pretty sure it's black and white), and in the opening intro, there is a guy walking down a hallway, and doors keep closing in front of him (or is it behind him?). There are many types of big closing doors (more like walls sliding closed).. Some fall or slide down from the ceiling, others slide from the left and right to meet in the middle, etc. ... Does any of this sound familiar to anyone? Does anyone know what television show I'm trying to describe?

"Get Smart" from the 1960s. I don't think it was ever in black and white, though.

"Get Smart" (1965-69 on NBC,1969-70 on CBS)...and only the pilot episode from 1965 was in black and white--the entire series was in color. You described most of the show's opening sequence.

Time-Life just released Season 1 on DVD.

Get Smart, while not 50's, did have a few B&W episodes, and the intro fits your description.
