Hestia was the Goddess of the hearth and therefor all of domestic life. She tended the sacred fires of Olympus. She swore to be a virgin by the head of Zeus even when wooed by other gods. In the roman pantheon Hestia was named Vesta and in her temples Vestales or Vestal Virgins kept the ritual fires and kept an oath of chastity- therefore for the romans she was also goddess of Virginity.
