It's all about money. I would like to think that it would be about respect, but no it is all about money. When you think about it, there are tons of people out there that would put up with "corporate America" to have the job that they have. If they offered me their job at a lower salary, I would take it.

Members of the screen writers guild feel they are not being compensated for what is referred to as "new media". They want more money for the shows/movies they help write that are being shown on places such as the internet, cell phones & DVD's.

Ok, basically the writers were not geting compinsated for online media (includeing streaming videos, iTunes downloades ect) and they were only getting ).02 per DVD sold. They now want 0.04 per DVD and to get a profit from online media. PLEASE watch this video.

they said they weren't getting paid enough money.Its kind of true because actresses do alot but not as much as writing the script.
