Ok....so i'm trying to prove the statement:
'It is not true that "Everyone is as God made him, and often a great deal worse."'
In our English class, we're reading The Catcher In The Rye by J.D. Salinger. I need some references the quote makes to the novel and some references to the world.
So i'm trying to find examples of famous people such as leaders that are examples of this quote.
For example: a lot of people dislike Bush but there are some good qualities about him and offcourse some bad ones.
Can anyone help me pinpoint these good/bad qualities?
(It doesn't have to be Bush...He's just a very well known leader)

I hate Bush but I have heard a rumour that he might actually possess one good quality - persistence, not being a quitter. One time he crash-landed an airplane, but it was still running, so he took off in it again so he could re-land it with improvement.

I cannot see this answer getting a thumbs up from anybody.

His faith in God and not ashamed to show it, his stance on terrorism and not afraid to call those that are terrorists or their nations a terrorist nation.

His lack of willing to listen to the American people on illegal immigration, the NAU and NAFTA. His speaking is not the best and his mistakes make him sound dumb but he is very smart.

Smarter than what people give him credit for.

Good Qualities....Let me think on that one. Well, his "Bushims" are very funny.

Bad qualities.....stubborn, liar, pro-rich and anti-everyone else. He led us into two endless wars with no victory plan. He's a bad money manager that has almost doubled our national debt in 7 years.
